Probably the most complex simulation I have so far achieved...

This is probably the most complex simulation I have so far successfully run using my FreeCAD + MBDyn "Dynamics workbench". Note that all was created from the graphic interface, no manual editing of the input file at all!!

Hi! Nice job :D! I just want to say that when I have computer 486 (60-80 Mhz) in 90ties I have added joystick to 3d max studio (in dos/windows) and made simulator of car. In 3d max also there is simulation mode with gravity. It will be nice if you add simulation mode and send model :) We will have Freecad 1st car game :) Have nice day!

Is this model symmetrical?
It seems that when the right wheel is lifted, the center higher than when the left.

You are absolutely right, and it is a great observation I did not think someone will catch. It is not symmetrical. You see, when I prepare these models I am not really thinking about the MBD model itself, but rather on how my software behaves. Basically I try to break my software to catch bugs. In this specific example I put a prismatic joint between the left steering knuckle and ground, and a revolute rotation joint between the right steering knuckle and the ground node, so basically the right side of the model has one degree of freedom more than the left...

Also, the "bumps" are not symmetrical either, and I think this makes that one extra degree of freedom more noticeable...
