"Real" Architectural project made with FreeCad

Post by ragohix769 »

Hello guys,

This is a project for a real job that I made for a house here in Italy, for the first time without Autocad and/sketchup :-)

I used Qcad (registered version, very very little bit job here) + FreeCad (95% of the job, these lines are all from sketches 100% then all inserted in TechdrawWB) + Inkscape to make some tweak and to have a table draw well organized. This is only the "post operam" part, the table and the project it's much much longer (there are also Plant of the Photovoltaic, heatpump, all the piping in the house, all the energy stuff, etc etc).

This was a big test for me, and it was REAL hard to achive, but I can say that Freecad can be used by professionals (Engineers like me and/or Architects), with some (sometimes BIG) trouble of course, but it's possibile and it can be only better in the future :-)

Thanks :-)

We all have to work (REAL) hard on FCad to make it better and better for this kind of workflow (architectural/construction/building/techdraw), and now I think it's possible, but we need more people to try to use it, seeing some real showcase and/or work done.

Hello, I invite you to know my channel that I currently have more than 40 tutorials on how to apply FreeCAD for civil construction.

https://www.youtube.com/c/HRCompacta

I also invite you to visit my website - www.hrcompacta.com - where I explore more details on the use of FreeCAD with more comprehensive and complete courses.

I make myself available for any information.

I think that with your experience, you can make a new post for discussing the real needs to improve the real workflow for a true project.
