Re: real project, metal construction with dimensions, pdf print
Well done.
Interesting workflow. Completely different from my approach.
I use sketcher/part/manipulator workbenches and boltsFC-macro for steel construction.
Why do you use use draft for dimension lines?
Techdraw should do the job.
BTW 1: you can load (non-parametric) steel profiles from boltsFC, lets say with 1 m lengths.
Use extrude tool from arch-wb to convert the stuff to (more or less) parametric. If you need it.
BTW 2: I must design and calculate the steel parts. So I use FEM-wb.
The attachment of the vertical stiffeners at the square profile wont work for meshing,
because of the gap between plate/rounding.
So far my 2 cent.
Writing from home pc, sorry no pics..

Re: real project, metal construction with dimensions, pdf print
thank you.
the workflow should be possible with on-board resources, because the drawing is passed on and you cannot know whether the other person has installed the appropriate extensions.
I also try to have the most uniform possible workflow for metal construction, machine construction and architecture. techdraw is not developed far enough for me and still too slow. (my opinion)

As always very good "real" example, thanks!
I liked especially how you rotated the last couple of metal renforcement. Thanks!

I'm just trying to get a photo from the workshop where the part was made
