The PiRantula could also be used in the Psych area. Put a fur coat on the top of it and walk around the campus and watch those human reactions. :)
Oooh... just watched some stuff about springs... linear... torsion. Then the video went onto pneumatic ones, which look cool but don't know where to start... then surgical tubing.

Surgical tubing in this context is basically... rubber bands.

Rubber bands are cheap and available everywhere. Plus, not enough torque?... add another!

Also got 4 more servos on order... so hopefully the thing will be strutting good within a fortnight! :)
