Reversed closed Draft_BSpline has different shape?

Reversed closed Draft_BSpline has different shape?

You can reverse a Draft_BSpline with Draft_Edit. If you reverse an open BSpline the shape seems to stay the same. But for a closed BSpline this is not the case: the shape changes considerably. Why is that? And it there a way to avoid that?

The direction of a closed curve has an impact in certain situations f.e. when using Arch_Structure:
