I think every contribution is welcomeduncan.lithgow wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 7:42 pm I notice the thread is very long and the information is very spread out. Would it be udeful perhaps to collect information on the OSArch wiki where we are trying do document just this type of workflow? I'd be happy to practice FreeCAD by working on a small aspect of the project (the stove? mezanine railing) if I have the other files organized and easy to find. Has anyone put them all somewhere?
I hope it's okay that I haven't read the whole discussion.
I made a dead wiki-link from this page which can be used. Maybe just a quick description of the FreeCAD project & the decisions made would be great https://wiki.osarch.org/index.php?title ... w_Examples

@HakanSeven12 seems has something in his Geomatic WB to do terrain from point cloud (now seems incorporating in the Trail WB)

Re: Open Source House with Open Source CAD?
Is there a central place to store the current files? It's a bit of a challenge for people to find the most recent file (August 1st?) ... I just had to wade through a bunch of posts. Even if it's just a nextcloud/dropbox solution that would make it easier for the page on osarch to link to this project https://wiki.osarch.org/index.php?title ... Studiolada
I'd love to add the very best fantastic image from this project so we can feature it on the osarch wiki. But I'm a real novice and don't have a good grip on the settings needed to make it look great - anyone able to help me with that or just make an image? I think the one from 1st August is actually very nice, but I'm guessing it can be done even better.

I'm getting these errors when I open the august 1st file, is that to be expected?

Re: Open Source House with Open Source CAD?
nice that this project finds interest. unfortunately I don't know how to portray it better. in freecad there is probably still ray tracing with textures etc.duncan.lithgow wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 12:10 pm Is there a central place to store the current files?
