Arch SectionPlane Behaviour

Post by PheasantCoucal »

Could someone please clarify what I should expect from Arch Section Plane. In the attached SectionTest001.FCStd there are two Arch Structures, one intersected by the Section plane, the other is behind it. Whether or not either of those structures are included in the Section Objects seems to have no effect on the resultant view. I was expecting that Objects named in the Object list would not be displayed when Cut View=True.
Thanks,
Rik

If "Cut View" is set to true, the cut is shown in the 3D view. Objects that are not in the Objects list will not appear in the view (TechDraw_ArchView or Draft_Shape2DView) created from the SectionPlane.

Thanks Roy. I eventually came to grips with the behaviour of the Arch Section Plane tool. It wasn't quite what I had expected but I now have it sorted. Thank you for your clarification.
