Crash with AdditivePipe

Post by hcbang »

FC crash when I try AdditivePipe with Sketch002 on line Sketch005 with the FC file in the attachment. It only happens, when I request Transition "right Corner".
I tried it with FC 19 and FC20.
Is this something for the error tracker?
Thanks

Sketch002 is no closed curve, therefore it cannot be extruded as a pipe, pad or loft.

I can also not reproduce the crash, neither in FC 0.19 nor latest FC 0.20 (build 25943). I only get the correct error message.

Do you have a step by step instruction of how to reproduce the crash in FC 0.19?

Click on Sketch005, which is the closed curve to be extruded.
Click on AdditivePipe
Change CornerTransition to RightCorner
Click on Buttom Object
Click on one Part of Sketch002, which is the line for the pipe direction
Et voila, FC crashes on my computer

OK, I thought you tried it the other way round.

I can confirm the crash also on FC 0.20:

OS: Windows 10 Version 2009
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.20.25943 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: master
Hash: a65464b722a846bd2999aa2fecdff1132b15b297
Python version: 3.8.6+
Qt version: 5.15.2
Coin version: 4.0.1
OCC version: 7.5.0
Locale: German/Germany (de_DE)

Since every second line in Sketch002 perpendicular to the normal of Sketch005, you get expectedly garbage when using the edge transformations. But sure, FC must not crash.

Can you please open a new bug report in our tracker: https://tracker.freecadweb.org/my_view_page.php and reference there this forum thread?
