Hello everyone!
I need to do a magnetic transient analysis and am quiet new to FEM analysis. I got started with Ansys Maxwell Student, however the student version does not allow for transient analysis. So I would like to know if this is possible with FreeCAD, before I start learnig all the required tools.
In case this is possible is there any information out there on how to do this? So far I wasn't able to find anything in that regard.
Your help would be highly appriciated!
Best regards,
Tim

Re: Magnetic Transient Analysis
Not directly in FreeCAD but you could use it to prepare the model for analysis with one of the solvers supported by FreeCAD - CalculiX or Elmer.
Re: Magnetic Transient Analysis
Hey thank you for your quick reply! And Elmer and Calculix can do magnetic Transient analysis? Do you know where I can find good tutorials in that regard?

Re: Magnetic Transient Analysis
Elmer:
- electrostatics
- magnetostatics
- A-V formulation
- magnetic induction
- vectorial Helmholtz equation
CalculiX:
- electrostatics
- magnetostatics
- inductive heating
