Multi matterial simulation

Post by Gebcar »

I would like to simulate the electric filed with FEM Elmer to a problem, where there is a dielectric sphere between plane electrodes.
Geometry for the FreeCad:

I tried to make it based on this tutorial :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-ggqH3tXHs&t=578s

But after the CompoundFiltering I can not set matterial for the initail sphere.

Thank you very much for the help

Thank you. I tried this way solve the problem, but in this case the in the solver file the matterial of one of the body is always missing.

I use CalculiX, in Elmer it might work differently. Check this thread in such a case: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=73358
