Hi,
did anyone deal with tool wear and freecad already?
I'm experiencing some tool wear after some time here, what I've seen so far is to adjust the tool diameter in the tool table. Did anyone try another approach with FreeCAD and Linuxcnc?

For operations like Profile, you can use the "Extra Offset" .
This still requires an extra Post output, but this would be required anyway if your live machine control system does not allow update of tool geometry "D" parameter.

Experienced machinist suggests to minimize the use of just the tip of the bit when cutting (like I was always doing).
When possible, it is recommended to adopt milling strategies (like the adaptive one) that are using the height of the bit cutting-part as much as possible. In this way, the wearing is more uniformely distributed along the surface of the bit.
