I understand now, thanks for the example, fully agree with the proposal.
I should note that if your goal is to add a better tooltip just in the translation directly this is not optimal, it's best to actually go and propose a meaningful tooltip in the original then the translation can be just that, a translation.
Longer text in the tooltip shouldn't be an issue for anyone, tooltips are directed at newbies, power users rarely see them and when they do it's enough to move the mouse to dismiss it so I don't think we need any addon for longer tooltip text. Extra content for the tooltips like gifs could be placed in the help addon, I worry about the maintainability of those gifs though, we have a hard time keeping the regular wiki up to date already, not to mention the potential confusion due to not knowing when a gif starts or ends.Kunda1 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 20, 2022 11:51 am This is a really great idea!
But I imagine that the veterans will get upset about 'UI bloat'. I personally would like to see a way we can make an addon repo that is possible to add more verbose content to the tooltips such as this proposal and also adding animated gifs. Then a beginner could opt to download the auxiliary addon via the Addon Manager that will make the interface more beginner friendly.
