Re: Path profile does not let me select a body

Try selecting nothing at all. There is an (incorrect) error message, but it works.

Give it a try with using just one (either) of these "more or less the same thing", and report back.

If they are really the same thing then either should work for all your needs.

Re: "Process holes" misses a hole, but instead cuts inside of perimeter

Two observations. * When I deleted the face and then re-added it in the Profile operation the "missing" hole appeared correctly. I do not know why. * There seems to be some confusion about the orientation of edges in the imported object. I observed different inside vs. outside behavior for...

Re: [Bug?] 3dPocket Offset + Min Travel option may lead to problematic toolpaths

OK, here is the test file I tried. It simply doubles the size of the original pad and adds a second copy of the groove. I did not change anything in the sketches or any other part of the body. I added the second pocket to the 3D pocket operation, but I did not change anything else. The two pockets w...

As I said above, there are various viewpoints.

Now we have another.

Re: Importing a .dxf file takes forever

The Nintendo dxf took about a minute on my modest computer. I did get a warning, however.

I do not understand the details, but this may be a clue.

Re: Make Tools Stay Put?

I cannot see the entire screen, so I am not sure what configuration you have. In any case, it seems you will need to drag the desired toolbars to a separate line to prevent collapse. It may be the image you posted, but your icons look huge to me. Unless you have a very large screen you will not be a...

Re: Make Tools Stay Put?

I read your post, but I do not really understand what you are seeing. You show a very condensed version of the toolbar.

What "dropdown arrow" are you talking about?

Re: safe and clearance height

Safe height should be call retract-height. Clearance height should be called Clamp height - or clamp-clearance-height. The most common clamp height + bolt head ends up at 34mm - so the default probably should be 35mm. Names will always be a problem, especially with translations. "Common" ...

Re: [Bug?] 3dPocket Offset + Min Travel option may lead to problematic toolpaths

Try both the Min Travel and the Keep Tool Down at the same time. I played with your file a bit more, including making two pocket shapes.

It appeared that each pocket was completed individually, and the center post problem went away.

Probably needs more testing.
