Do you know why the simulation on and Ray (sun light) icons render differently in FreeCAD than when viewing the files normally (there is no transparency)?

should be automatically in 0.22dev with this theme. Do you have transparency enabled in the tree panel?

Would it be possible to make this WB available through the addon manager or is it intended to merge this with FEM in main at some point?
Is there a documentation or example files somewhere?

That's an issue with the rendering of the geometry underneath the sketch plane. There are a few issues on GitHub:

As workaround you could move the headlight direction in the preferences or change the appearance of the body below.

Also ich interpretiere die Diskussion so: Es geht nicht um die Bilder an sich, sondern es ist gewünscht, einige Einträge aus den letzten Dateien zu entfernen oder welche anzupinnen.
Dazu gibt es https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/issues/12842 ich habe es entsprechend um die beiden Ideen erweitert.
