Re: Unable to create path on outside faces
I am not sure just what is happening, but selecting all those faces is certainly much more complicated than necessary. Simply select two adjacent edges along the top face and then use the "Finish Selecting Loop" tool. Proceed with Profile and select your desired parameters. You will need ...

Making this: Screenshot_2022-01-18_13-34-10.png I've selected all the interior holes, set cutting instructions, no problem. Select all the outside faces, click "Apply", get this message: <Path.Area> Area.cpp(1312): project failed <Path.Area> Area.cpp(1454): empty projection PathProfile.ERR...

Re: Weird Path behavior
SOLVED!! I deleted all the faces, tried again. Nope... so went ahead and did the outside to see if it would work... yes, it did, but did not cut the shape of the teeth, cut a curve in, then back out. Hmmm AHA... turned off "Use Compensation" and added half the bit dia to the "Extra Of...

Re: Marking for path cuts
You won't get good accuracy with only the default 5mm tool. Here's what the profile looks like. Added the profile op and reattached your file. 2022-01-06_14-17.png I realize that... I used a 1.4mm bit! I profiled it myself, and cut the same shape you detailed... Then, I went to the 1st Pocket and t...

Marking for path cuts
Happy New Year! Made a shape, want to cut it out using a 3018 CNC. Making the shape was pretty easy (compared to my past learning curve!!), but I have 2 questions: 1) Pocket002 has a green warning (?) thingy on it and is highlighted. NO clue what that is or what it means. Screenshot_2022-01-06_13-19...

Re: Sketcher-Body display problems
Show your body : * Select it * Space-bar You can see in your construction tree that the body is gray, so not showing. btw : try not to use Sketcher_ConstrainDistance but Sketcher_ConstrainDistanceX OK... I changed the color -- never have looked at that, as was most always able to see body. Now and ...
