Installing Realthunder FreeCAD
So i cloned the repository, and tried to compile the FreeCAD build in this manner: mkdir 'FreeCAD Modified' cd 'FreeCAD Modified' git clone https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD.git cd 'FreeCAD Modified'/FreeCAD cmake ../FreeCAD make -j$(nproc --ignore=2) But there was a error in the compiling proc...

Re: Are You Serious?
It is not simply a FreeCAD failing. Well works in all my cad apps where you can select sketch profiles together Screen Shot 2021-09-04 at 4.03.25 PM.png freecad simply cannot select sketch profiles or individual edges from a sketch for modeling features. That's not how you make a picatinny rail :lo...

Re: Are You Serious?
Actually, someone has proposed a way to mitigate TNP and it has not been merged with master. Yes it does appear it is taking a long time. Since you chose not to include a file or even version info I can't tell...are all the lines in that sketch lines or construction lines? If none are construction ...

Are You Serious?
Listen, i like FreeCAD. I really do. In fact, I WANT to like FreeCAD. But how can i like something that is fundamentally broken in almost every aspect? It doesn't seem like the dev community cares very much about this project. Last time i checked, the topological naming problem is still a thing some...

Re: Quick Reference Guides (QRG) FreeCAD v.0.19.2
Where can I find more of these quick reference guides? The original QRG were provided by benjant for v0.18. I am simply updating those to v0.19.2. They are essentially a table listing of the commands, icons, and keyboard shortcuts for 14 of the most widely and heavily used workbenches. You can down...

Re: Quick Reference Guides (QRG) FreeCAD v.0.19.2
there are no two ways about it, learning how to model in 3d takes practice, and the written tutorials on the wiki is a great start for practising... no need to use part wb to have access to primitives - PartDesign_CompPrimitiveAdditive , and there is a subtractive sister. many just use sketcher in ...

Re: Quick Reference Guides (QRG) FreeCAD v.0.19.2
:) a complex shape? what might be complex to you might not be complex to me. there are always more than one way to get to the same result... boiling it down to the core of 3d modelling (that is geometric modelling which is what is done in fc) your basic tools are: add / subtract volumes volumes are...

Re: Quick Reference Guides (QRG) FreeCAD v.0.19.2
Where can I find more of these quick reference guides? I need to grasp a better understanding of the different workbenches and their proper usages rather than just having a rudimentary knowledge of making pads and cutting them out in part design workbench. Are there any advanced tutorials for modeli...

Re: Optics in FreeCAD
This is awesome. I've been wondering how I could pull this off in freecad for a while now.
