Re: FreeCAD Website Design

Hello Freecad Forum, I have a suggestion to the FreeCAD Website Design if it at some point should be renewed. Basically I think the website is great, but being a fan of the FreeCAD forum topic "From FreeCAD to the Real World" my suggestion is that there should be a picture somewhere of a r...

Re: From FreeCAD To The Real World

Hello Freecad Forum, Some time ago I made a simple tray-table (as I think it could be called) and thought I should share (I have shared a couple of other things earlier as an individual topic, but I really think these should have been posted under this topic. Apologies - but rather later than never,...

Wooden box with dovetails

Hello Freecad Forum, Some time ago I made a small wooden box with dovetails. Thought I would share... Happy to get comments on how one could improve on the design. The box is made of ash and oak wood, with a plexiglass top and a red linoleum "floor". The Freecad drawing shows - as can be s...

Re: Tiny House design concept

Looks great, are the images all by SH3D? Look forward to the FreeCAD model :D Hey Paullee, Thanks for the positive comment:-) Actually, the first picture (with the blue walls and red roof) is made in Freecad. The rest are images from SH3D. Could be interesting to make the inner wood construction in...

Re: "small" tweak to Freecad - huge improvement?

This has indeed been discussed before. As far as I can rememeber this is much more than a small tweak. chrisb, my bad, but to my defense, the two "" i have put at the beginning and end of "small" means - at least from a danish point of view - the opposite of the word, implying t...

Re: "small" tweak to Freecad - huge improvement?

I know it is not the same, but for exploratory modelling the scroll wheel is really handy. scroll in any value dialogue box and see things changing, one of my favourite features in fc heda, good point - but as far as I can see it only applies to either pad or pocket. Not both at the same time? But ...

Re: "small" tweak to Freecad - huge improvement?

I think I'v got your points, I have just been thinking that making Freecad more "dynamical" instead of "static" would improve the program. Still love it:-)

Again, thank you for the amazing program.

Kindly, KFMadsen

Re: "small" tweak to Freecad - huge improvement?

I find a dialog where I enter the exact value I want extremely easy and extremely intuitive. I can't drag a surface on my milling machine... drmacro, I agree if you know what your measurement is, then it is extremely easy and intuitive... but if you are just "playing around" wit...

Re: "small" tweak to Freecad - huge improvement?

Welcome. It's cool to make feature requests. But in my experience (and I sometimes still forget) it's best to be as verbose and detailed as possible when it comes to what you are thinking. Detailed proposals/feature-requests/bug-repports have a higher probability to get attention than abstract and ...

"small" tweak to Freecad - huge improvement?

Hello Freecad programmers, I'm new to the Freecad Forum, and I am in no way in a position to talk technical at a deep level (as a programmer to Freecad can) but it seems to me that a "small" tweak to Freecad could make it way more easy and intuitive to use. In short a manual pad/pocket tha...
