Re: Thomas Sanladerer at it again

you call it here just a problem about the name. Where ? Where I talked about clear concepts and notions Again where ? The only argument (and it is your argument not mine) I have seen from your side is that "the Body term in the natural language ..." In fact, in the thread https://github.c...

Re: Thomas Sanladerer at it again

I am curious, do you use the word "mandatory" in the sense it is required by your workflow? Or, is it something about the things you design? In doing hundreds of models with FC I've never found either necessary. It is related with the specific application (design of PCBs and other kind of...

Re: Thomas Sanladerer at it again

Besides it is one person, he is no developer. Ok, but it is not easy to distinguish developers from fervent partecipants in the FC community. Chrisb is very active in all discussions and it is easy to get the impression that he has some influence in the definition of FC roadmap. Also he is not agai...

Another point that's let me disappointed is the offensive attitude of some guys in the FC community.

Re: Thomas Sanladerer at it again

You are really a master in misinterpreting, as always. Where did you read that nonsense? To have an example of this opposition you may look at the chrisb posts in the thread https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?t=77004&start=10, such as post https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?p=667180#p...

Re: Thomas Sanladerer at it again

There is an ardent group there who find LS3 to be far more desirable than main. But, even those, only feel LS3 is marginally better than main I am one of those preferring LS3 over Master. In my case the main reason is that it allows to generate multiple solids from a single sketch (using pad). Seco...

Re: [Feature Request] hierarchical sketches with layers

Hi @realthunder. I think that the kind of placement asked in the prevuos post could be easily added also to Assembly3. As far as I know Assembly3 already has an attachment constraint but it is not a full constraint when used with edges. So I would like to have a 2dimensional full constrained attache...

Re: [Feature Request] hierarchical sketches with layers

To better clarify the problem an example of electrical subcomponent of the previus PCB circuit is the following part: hairpinFilter.png This component must be inserted in the void rectangle shown in the following picture. The position must assure a perfect alignment of the end segments of connecting...

Re: [Feature Request] hierarchical sketches with layers

Therefore, to frame the problem well, according to my personal thought, you should expose/show/attach a concrete/practical/physical example I hope that the following image may help to explain the kind of 2dimensional data structures I would like to address. As you may see a typical microwave or ele...

Re: [Feature Request] hierarchical sketches with layers

For example if the block is a rectangle (for simplicity sake) position it with one of the corner vertices and align one of the edges to sketch in the master sketch. Yes. This is exactly the way I would do in most cases. Regarding the implementation, the sub-sketches of a master sketch could be hand...
