Is there a feature to Recompute on demand?

Hi guys! :) I am using FreeCAD to create an open-sourced toy (similar to Meccano) for all to 3D-print ( STEMFIE ). Many parts I am designing need to exist in a large span of many sizes. Therefore, I have opted to drive all dimensions parametrically via a spreadsheet, into which I write all the value...

Looking for a FreeCAD wizard (for automating repetetive steps)

https://stemfie.org/files/images/blog/STEMFIE_part_-_Top_sunken_layer_FreeCAD_process.jpg The number of parts in the STEMFIE projects is growing, and therefore I am looking for help to simplify the creation of the " top sunken layer " in beams and braces. In short, I manually do as follow...

Re: Is there a way of setting the default value for the Translation Increment?

Thank you all for your responses! :) As I understand this is something that could be implemented in future releases of FreeCAD. If so, an added feature to further improve the dialogue box, would be to offer an array of presets for movement and rotational increments. Quite often one would like to cha...

Is there a way of setting the default value for the Translation Increment?

Working with STEMFIE assemblies, I often need to translate parts in 3,125 mm increments. I wonder if it is possible to set the default translation increment via a script or some setting in preferences. It seems to be set at 1 mm as default value.

Cheers :)

Re: New Stemfie Workbench

I'm very thankful and impressed by the work of Ander and Rafael, and all the STEMFIE and FreeCAD enthusiast helping out with this project.

This STEMFIE FreeCAD Workbench makes it much easier to create parts parametrically according to the STEMFIE standard. :-D

Re: Creating a 3D-printable toy with FreeCAD

Hi, Artur! :) Thank you for your kind words about the STEMFIE project and for your contributions! I like the thought being able to make dynamic STEMFIE parts; I've thought of many different ways of doing it, both in FreeCAD but also using OpenSCAD and CadQuery. Nevertheless, since my STEMFIE project...
