Issues with defeaturing
I'm trying to prepare several STEP files provided by a third party for CNC manufacture. In order to create the proper tool paths I need to remove the fillets and chamfers made by the designer. I'm trying to use the Part/Defeaturing tool but having no luck. Sometimes it works, other times it reports,...

Re: Feed and Speeds addon update failure
I'm just trying this addon for the first time. I'm getting the following when clicking on the menu item: Feeds and Speeds Addon loaded: PathWorkbench Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/dave/ownCloud/configs/FreeCAD/Mod/FeedsAndSpeeds/./PathFeedsAndSpeedsGui.py", line 290, in Sh...

Adaptive milling through pillar features
I'm trying to create a tool path for this small aluminium part. I need to clear the main face of the part and I'm using adaptive clearing. As you can see the toolpath wants to mill features that should not be milled and may not clear the face of the part properly. This is from an imported STEP file....

Re: Trimming down old large files in the repo
These are the scripts I use for identifying and cleaning a repo: git-fatfiles: #!/bin/bash /usr/bin/git rev-list --all --objects | \ sed -n $(git rev-list --objects --all | \ cut -f1 -d' ' | \ git cat-file --batch-check | \ grep blob | \ sort -n -k 3 | \ tail -n40 | \ while read hash type size; do e...

Trimming down old large files in the repo
Doing a fresh clone for the git repo I wondered where/what the bulk of the data was for. I ran a script that I use for locating large files in a git repo and have identified the following files and their size. These files do not seem to exist anymore in the current HEAD so I was thinking if these co...
