Re: Assembly4: Universal (Cardan) Joint constraints--Double
This is an example of a double universal joint with a variable length spacer for two offset shafts. Comments are in the image captions. U_Joint-double.gif The file for the double joint assembly has been added to the previous post. Is it me or the "spacer shaft" is moving [incorrectly] bac...

Re: Problema con el cubo de navegación
Hola @xurdem,
Entiendo que tu tarjeta no tiene soporte OpenGL por hardware de nivel suficiente y lo que estás haciendo es activar el soporte por software, ¿correcto?
En cualquier caso, gracias por explicar la solución.
¡Saludos!

Hi there,
Best regards
PS: these are my current values
I like your models and presentations. I think I'll like them more if the epoxy capsules weren't so tessellated: did you try to increase the detail level?
Best regards

Re: [SOLVED][ADVANCED] How to thread with a solid wedge instead of a sketch
Hello edwilliams16 ! I tried sweeping the faces of the wedge cutout to make a cutting tool. This gives the correct geometry and avoids digitization I thought about this idea at some point (after openning this forum thread) but didn't actually try it, so thanks for bringing it up. - but the sweeps fa...

Re: [SOLVED][ADVANCED] How to thread with a solid wedge instead of a sketch
Hi there! Hello, I'm glad you like it! sure I did! :D It would be nice to clean the surface of the helix so that there are not so many edges showing, but I don't know how. I think it is not possible: they are not "edges" but (very small) "cliffs", right? For what I need is a lot ...

Re: [ADVANCED] How to thread with a solid wedge instead of a sketch
Good morning! (at least around this part of the globe) I made a bit script to do something like what you are looking for ... Open the attached OP file again and run the code. Of course, It is not something definitive but maybe you can use it to continue working on it. Thank you very much for this ne...

Re: [ADVANCED] How to thread with a solid wedge instead of a sketch
Hello edwilliams16 , Why not tilt the wedges so they follow the angle of the spiral? Good question, with an easy answer: there are other parts of the mechanism (not reflected in this small proof of concept) that don't allow it. The outer tube with its wedges is a non modifiable part of a bigger syst...
