Re: Curves workbench
I think it's just a more advanced function, and it's different from the method used by SolidWorks, however this type has the function of showing the seams, for other problems the curvature analysis is used. Furthermore, with FreeCAD it is very difficult to obtain good continuity so at the moment wha...

Re: Blend Curve / Surface integration project
This is fantastic features, to make a nice transitions I had to make this by doing it manually with help of iso-curves from patches and then blended them each one by one and make a gordon surfaces.

Re: Curves workbench
See my post here https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?p=582967&sid=a4edf1caf21e838452bab817a82c9eec#p582967 and the link in that post to an older topic where the two methods are shown (Chris_G flatten_face.FCMacro is now implemented as a tool in Curves WB). Note that the method with the mesh...

Re: Curves workbench
Great tool this new feature is useful and I hope it can be expanded with more options in the future, it's like the one that exists in Rhinoceros the command UnrollSrf
I hope in future we can develop also a surfaces with zero Gaussian curvature.

Re: "CAD system for Artists in Blender"
It is not in Blender, but it is inspired and has copied the interface and the way of working with the Blender.
Is a program for hard surface modellers for video games who make usually things like weapons spaceships etc, it could be expanded in the future with other features, but at the moment it s...

Re: Sverchok/Blender Freecad read nodes
I would like to try this, but I just can't get it to work, by now I have tried many times but every time I have errors and this addon does not start.
Sadness.

Re: Tangency to B-spline edge - workarounds
In my opinion yes, it reduces the complexity necessary in the representation of complex shapes, and with a few control vertices you get a single curve, I use them to draw boat hulls and without b-Spline it becomes complicated to work with Nurbs surfaces, B-Splines are the basis of NURBS surfaces. Th...

Re: Tangency to B-spline edge - workarounds
It would be great, I'd like to know a workaround for this limitation and I'm not sure what happened in that file. here it is: ... These are no longer b-splines, but arcs, and it doesn't answer the initial question, but you propose an alternative, so you get out of the context of the argument.

Re: Tangency to B-spline edge - workarounds
I don't know, you have to ask with the developers.
