Hey,
I think (hope) the image attaching/hosting problem is now sorted (see my last post).
Any remarks on my initial post?

Re: Importing a image file into freecad to trace out in sketcher
As I said in another topic: I will not download another "zipped" image again because I'm fed up with this. I should not go to this hassle. The "Read this before asking for help" topic explains what to do about image hosting. Didn't read (noticed) your other post. I know about im...

Re: Importing a image file into freecad to trace out in sketcher
You can change the XSize and YSize properties in the Data tab. You'll have to make sure yourself that the image remains proportional. Ok, thanks this works. Some remarks about the image import: 1. The image resolution seems to be fixed and at a very low scale: I imported my rim profile (see attachm...

Re: Importing a image file into freecad to trace out in sketcher
However I just thought I would add that depending on what your image is actually like, you may (or may not) find another approach useful, first use a bitmap tracing utility to convert your bit map image into an svg file and then import the svg into FreeCAD. Just wanted to add: we already had this h...

Re: Constructing Square Tube
You mean 0.13.1122. It was released on June 10th, even though I use the daily updated one, the shape builder has not changed. Could you post a screenshot? Just tried again, and now it does look like yours :? ... (Either I tried it on an 0.12 or I clicked the wrong button.) (Sorry) OK I have to ask....

hey all,
can't follow you on all the details here. But is there already a bug to track this - which one could also follow then?

Re: Constructing Square Tube
Hi Normand, thanks for your comprehensive explanation, I tried to follow it. 1. I use 0.12 1122 here on Windows XP, in part WB I have a shape builder, but it doesn't look like your and I couldn't make a face out of my sketch form it. 2. When I use the upgrade tool in Draft WB on my sketch I get a &q...

Re: Can't use draft mode
Hey Andy, I had the same problem, but only on one of my two installations (both with 0.13-1122). Eventuality I figured out, if you extract the 0.13-1122.zip over an existing installation you get this error, but if you do a "clean" extract everything works as expected. HTH fasf Thanks, that...

Re: Importing svg for sketch?
Hey, I was able to import your test.svg file, but the circle didn't import correctly. yes, thats OK here also. I mean the conversion to sketch as described above from Jim: Go to Draft WB, import svg as geometry, select an individual path (the 3d part), click on "Draft/Sketcher-item converter......

Re: Constructing Square Tube
Reasons for the Part Design revolve feature not producing a solid would be: ... Ok, but my last question was about the Part WB revolve tool. When I use the Part Design revolve I have closed sides. I just still need to know ho to get a face out of my sketch  , the Wiki face search couldn't hel...
